At Pdfguin, we take your privacy extremely seriously. Because our tools run entirely in your browser, the way we handle data is fundamentally different—and significantly safer—than traditional online PDF converters.
File Processing & Storage
We do not upload, store, or view your files. Pdfguin is a client-side web application. This means all file processing (merging, splitting, OCR, conversions) is executed directly on your device using your web browser's resources. Your files are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.
Personal Data Collection
We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide an email address to use our tools. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) to process your documents.
External Requests & APIs
To provide certain features (like OCR text recognition), your browser may download necessary open-source libraries and language data files. However, your documents are never sent along with these requests. The downloaded data is used locally on your device.
Analytics and Cookies
We may use basic analytics tools to understand website traffic, monitor performance, and improve user experience. These tools may use cookies to collect anonymous, aggregated data. They do not collect or track any data regarding the contents of your PDF files.
